Well this is another series I've heard so much about and took my sweet time getting a hold of it.
This is the second time I've done this, First offence I committed was taking too long to read Thoughtless by S.C Stephens. When will I learn???
Feeling like a dumbass at the moment because this book was GOOD!!!!!
I have no excuse for how long it took me to get to reading this book apart from being stupid. It's not as if I haven't hear about it. Seems every second person I follow on Twitter has mentioned it and it looked good from what I saw on Goodreads (Link to Fallen Too Far) so really even me being stupid isn't a excuse.
All is right with the word the world again as I've rectified my mistake and spent some time getting to know Rush and Blair.
Heres the synopsis -
She is only nineteen.
She is his new stepfather’s daughter.
She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.
But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.
Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…
Blaire just may have fallen too far
Ok so to begin with Blaire got dealt with some pretty shitty cards. She's obviously stronger than she looks though as she's still standing when circumstances through Rush at her.
I loved Blaire as she didn't pretend to be someone she wasn't. She was honest and strong and didn't let people push her around. I am all for strong role models and she is just plain awesome.
As for Rush well typically he was a ass to start off but then he seemed to redeem himself right up until......well I'm not about to spoilt anything for those who are still under the rock that I just left. I do think I'm still a fan of his and am now dying to pick up the next book Never Too Far to see where this story is going.
The other characters had some redeeming qualities. I was wondering if Woods was going to turn into a nasty but he was good and showed that he is a gentleman through and through.
There were a few people though I am dying to back hand though. Top of my list being Nan. She can only be described as SPOILT PRINCESS (capitals are on purpose because she's that much of a witch).
“I sank down onto the bed against the headboard and leaned back. I crossed my legs underneath me.
"Then we'll talk." I said with a smile.
Rush sat down onto the bed and leaned back against the wall. A deep chuckle came from his chest and I watched as a real smile broke out on his face.
"I can't believe I just begged a female to sit and talk to me."
In all honesty, I couldn't either.”
So after all of that and you still haven't picked up this book my suggestion is do so quickly. You won't regret it :).
