Cage (Corps Security #2) - Harper Sloan

So I managed to talk my way onto the Cage Blog Tour. Yay Me lol.
Was extremely excited about this for 2 reasons.
1st reason I have been hanging out for the next installment from Corps Security so couldn't wait to see what was in store for Mr Greg Cage.
2nd reason Harper Sloan rocks - Not saying that to suck up either. She's pretty high up on my list of must read Authors (Hmmm idea for a New Page I think).

Anyway going back to the reason we're all here. Cage.

Synopsis goes like this - Greg Cage was born to protect. While growing up, he was his mother and sister’s shield against the world… until he failed. For the last decade, he has carried that guilt and need for vengeance around… until it was stripped from him. Now, with his best friend getting married and no longer needing his protection, he is even more lost, completely adrift, and desperate for some control. All he has ever known was how to protect: his family, his friends, and his country. Can he go against everything he has ever known, and give up that control?

Melissa Larson will never let anyone hold the reins in her life. She has been the rock in her family for more years than she can remember, and the fight to keep them together is her main priority right now. She has always been fiercely independent and proud. The last thing she will ever do is ask for someone else’s help. But when that choice is out of her control, forcing her to rely on others to save her and her family, and pick up the pieces that are left, will she be able to let someone else be her strength?

The second Greg locks eyes with Meli, he knows that she is someone he needs. Someone he craves. Meli knew the second she met Greg that he would be nothing but trouble and heartache. Her life takes an unexpected turn, and that bitch Fate is back to wreak more havoc on another member of the Corps family.

All hell breaks loose, leaving Greg no choice but to call in a favor. He hooks back up with his old friend Braxxon Breaker from the Breakneck MC. Together, they make sure that nothing threatens anyone Greg loves again

So I picked up this book as soon as I was able to and I definitely was not disappointed. Greg provided more of his fair share of the Alpha Male hotness this book round. I loved getting further into his back story and finding out what was driving him to be the he is.
Gotta love the info that comes up out of this book to with regards to Greg (I'm only going to say this as I'm not spoiling - He's got some interesting jewellery).

So on that note we move on to the heroine of the story - Melissa or Meli.
I loved her attitude - kicking butt and takin names. She's looking after her family and this is how it's going to be.

It's good to see that Greg has taste and he's not going to end up with a bit of fluff that won't handle the alpha or know how to put the alpha in his place. The chemistry between these two gets ultra hot that a cold shower will be needed.

Unfortunately the course of true love doesn't run smoothly. There's a kidnapping and an ex fling who thinks she's more (This chick is nut case material) thrown into the mis

Of course the rest of the Corps Security gang is a long for the ride. Theres a wedding and a kick ass cross over thrown in for good measure (Crossover is with Crystal Spears - Withstanding Me  Braxxon).

I loved this instalment and can't wait for the next one Beck (Corps Security #3)

For fans of the Corps series this is definitely one to read.
