Beck (Corps Security 3#) - Harper Sloan

Christmas came early in 2013 for when Harper decided to give us all Beck just before Christmas.

All I can say is "THANK YOU".

So if you haven't read any of the Corps Security books you need to catch up.
You are missing out on some certified grade A (as in AWESOME and ALPHA) Hotness.

So here is my suggestion check out Axel and Cage here. While these books can technically be read as stand alones with Beck it helps to have the back story with some of the stuff this book deals with.

Right now that is settled, lets get down to how AWESOME this book is.

Beck

Synopsis - DEE
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.

BECK
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it

As you know I am a big fan of Harper's since I read Axel. She has done a amazing job with this book.

I loved getting to know what was happening with Dee. I appear to be a big fan of the books that give off one appearance of a character and then find when it's time for that character's story to be told that the perception I had of things wasn't right and this is actually the deal. Harper has certainly done this and as it turns out Dee is not all she appears to be. Cue Beck. Now this man is all sorts of HOT.

On top of the extreme panty dropping factor this man induces he has a heart of gold. He has Dee's back even when she pushes him away. As far as he's concerned Dee is his.

This story is a little different to the others, Without going into spoiler territory once you start reading this there is a point in the book where you will need tissues, I'm thinking even a whole box. This book is beautiful and some of Harper's best work. The story that needed to be told has definitely been done and Harper has done a brilliant job in doing so.

Harper has asked that once you have read the story that you don't ruin it for others and let them experience it the way you experienced it which I completely agree. There is a support group on Facebook for people who have read the story and need want to talk about it (Seriously if you haven't read the book don't go to this group till you have) - https://www.facebook.com/groups/439106056217166/).

So with all of that said Beck is definitely favourite of mine.
