Take a Chance (Chance 1#) - Abbi Glines

I posted back in September about Fallen too Far, Since then I have been extremely slack in telling you I adore the Rosemary Beach series, I should've told you how perfect Never too Far and Forever too Far are and how I definitely have a Rush Crush.
After telling you all of that I should've gone on to say Woods and Della's story - Twisted Perfection and Simple Perfection is perfect. My heart broke for poor Bethy though. Will be interesting to see what happens next.

Since finishing Simple Perfection I had Take a Chance on Pre-Order for what seemed like ever. Once it hit my Kindle this week I was over the moon that it was time to head back to Rosemary Beach.
I have been on self imposed book hibernation for the last couple of days while I ran away with Grant and Harlow for awhile.

Take a Chance

Synopsis - From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the story of Grant, the sexy playboy who first captured readers hearts in Fallen Too Far.

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister—even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her

I have been hanging out for Grant's story since Fallen Too Far. I needed to know more about this man who seemed so caring but there was obviously something breaking him  (I'm refering to the numerous drunken rants and the fact he was volunteerily hanging out with Nan).

I also I wanted to get to know Harlow more and understand how she could remain so sweet and innocent in a world where she's living with her Rocker Father and Rush's Father.

This story did not disappoint and I was reminded instantly why I love this series. Some of the little twists and turns were heartbreaking to watch and others had me wanting to read fastere so I could see them sort themselves out.

Nan is still the biggest witch in the entire Rosemary world. I really can't understand why she won't just pull her head out of her ass. She can't be happy with how she is. She must realise everyone hates her.

We also get to see how the rest of our favourites are going since the events from Simple Perfection.

My biggest problem with this story? The fact I now have to wait till September for One More Chance to see the rest of Grant and Harlow's story play out.

On the bright side Rush Too Far will be out in May. Looks like 2014 is bringing lots of visits to Rosemary Beach.
