The Will (The Magdalene Series) - Kristen Ashley

This book has been highly anticipated by Kristen Ashley Addicts like myself.
As it's well documented through the blog here I have been making my way through her books and I'm sure I'm not the only one who made sure they were all set up ready to start ready when The Will came out a few days ago.

This happens to me everytime I read a Kristen Ashley book. I start daydreaming about moving me and my family to wherever Kristen has set her story. This book is no exception. Right now I'm plotting how I can get Mr E and Miss Midget on a plane to Magdalene, Maine, After we have made stops in Gnaw Bone, Carnal and Denver (My geography sucks and as I haven't been to the USA I have  no idea how long this journey would be to these mostly fictional places but that doesn't stop the daydream).
As you can see my fictional OE is getting rather long (The above list hasn't taken into account I will need to go to Texas as well but thats a whole other story).
Right on with the show.

The Will

Synopsis - Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.

While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.

But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.

Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.

I absolutely loved Josie. I loved how she spoke. She was so proper and well she's in the words of Ethan "The Bomb". This leads me on to how I loved how she feel in love with Jakes kid's just as much as she did with Jake. I absolutely loved that she knew that she couldn't change anyone's pasts and nor did she want to. She understood that people have pasts to make them who they are today.
She is definitely one of Kristen's awesome heroines.

Jake. What can I say. He makes no apologies for who he is and he owns his shit. Does not lay blame on others. If he stuffs up well he'll own it and deal with it. I loved how he takes care of his kids and they come first. Regardless of if he has a "woman" or not. I loved that way he took care of his family and in turn Josie. Making sure they had everything they need. If they didn't I'm certain he would move Heaven and Earth to make sure they got it.

As you can see I have a whole pile of love for this book. I loved the story and I loved the setting (Lavender is my favourite so I am extremely jealous of Lavender house lol).

My only gripe, The Jake's ex wife and I share a name ;).

This book is 100% Kristen Ashley Alpha goodness and definitely a must read.
